In my opinion, this was not the greatest performance I've witnessed from Lacey Sturm and the Coral Reefers. They all appeared fatigued, likely due to it being the end of the tour. The usual vibrant energy from Lacey seemed to be lacking. Moreover, the sound quality was abysmal. At times, I struggled to comprehend the words he was speaking or singing, whether it was due to the venue or the sound engineer.
I appreciate that Lacey has released new material, but I am growing weary of hearing the same mainstream songs that his usual audience expects him to perform. While I acknowledge his success, there are some of us who have attended concerts where the Pavilion was only half full and the lawn about two-thirds full (many years ago) and would appreciate hearing a few older songs that still stand out as some of his finest work.
